The Best Live Action – From where does the wind know which way to blow? Athar Kalantari, Iran, 2024

The Best Experimental – O/S, Max Hattler, Hong Kong, 2023

The Best Music Video – It’s cold, Maria Rakitina, Estonia, 2024

Honorable Mention from

Tracy Miller-Robbins (United States) – Uncle Bardo Luke Misruzzi, Canada, 2023

The film places you inside an ethereal, gentle world where experimental animation and documentary footage intertwine, using simple, human moments—writing down phone numbers, sensing that something isn’t right—to speak plainly and poetically about loved ones, mortality, and that fragile space between life and death, with Uncle Bardo resonating both as a real person and as a puppet that quietly connects it all.

Honorable Mention from

Giorgi Razmadze (Georgia) – Sinkholes, Karen Russo, United Kingdom, 2025

For capturing abstract concepts and unseen physical forces through masterful audiovisual and narrative storytelling

Honorable Mention from

Olga Goltser (Israel) – In Between city, Ilya Kreines, Israel, 2023

The film was created while limiting the pictorial and animation tools and exhausting their use to the point of realizing the idea. The idea of a stamp – the traces of perception and memory – conveys to the viewer an intimate experience of discovering the differences and similarities between two cities through the eyes of the creator.

Awards from Student Jury:

Grand Prize from Student Jury – Entropic Memory, Nicolas Brault, Canada, 2024

Grand Prize Debut from Student Jury – Milk Flowing Land, Amit Levi, Ester Pazur, Roni Salinger, Stav Fridman, Israel, 2025

Honorable Mention from

Tamar Zandukeli (Georgia) – Uncle Bardo Luke Misruzzi, Canada, 2023

“Uncle Bardo“ by Luke Misruzzi, for innovative visual storytelling and effective sound design.

Honorable Mention from

Angelo Lombardo (United States) – Maaimä, Lucija Mrzljak, Estonia, 2024

“Maaimä” is a song that caught my attention thanks to its style, which offers a very interesting exploration, and combined with the background music, it stands out even more for me.

Honorable Mention from

Yonatan Rinenber (Israel) – 1/Man, Anna Solovey, Israel, 2025

My choice for an honorable mention is “1/Man”, because the spirit of an experiment is very alive in it. The relationship between two very different cities, Jerusalem and Sain Petersburg create unique and fascinating language, and the strange mix of ridicule and pain is a touch on the real deep of the genius works of Daniel Kharms.

Honorable Mention from Festival Staff:

1. The Hour Coat, Amy Kravitz, United States, 2022

For the outstanding style and dramaturgy in experimental cinema.

2. No Name Story, Wild Kids Students, Israel 2025

For deep immersion in the world film making by irony and experiments with traditional narratives.
