Diogene 2025
The 6th Tbilisi International Internet Short Film Festival “Diogene 2025” is held under the slogan: “New Horizons, Creative Boldness, and Innovation.”
The festival will take place in four seasons:
1. “Diogene Odessa”
2. “Diogene Tbilisi”
3. “Diogene Tallinn”
4. “Diogene Jerusalem”
The selection of films for “Diogene 2025” is diverse and encompasses global narratives. The lineup includes:
• Fiction films (drama, political, psychological, absurd)
• Animation (experimental, emotional, folklore-poetic)
• Documentary section (personal stories, social issues, visual essays)
• Experimental section (innovative form, metaphorical language, sound experience)
• Music videos
Key themes:
• Social and political inequality
• Consequences of war and trauma
• Migration and the search for identity
• Gender role inversion
• Art as a form of survival
Genre diversity: All major forms are represented—classic narrative, auteur animation, fiction-documentary synthesis, and poetic experiment.
Geographic diversity: Films come from nearly every continent—Georgia, Iran, Israel, Ukraine, Russia, Canada, Estonia, Poland, Germany, USA, and more.
The main competition brings together both emerging and established filmmakers, giving the festival special significance.
“Awards and Diplomas:”
The main jury presents the following awards:
1. Best Film — diploma and symbolic prize
2. Best Fiction Film — diploma and symbolic prize
3. Best Animated Film — diploma and symbolic prize
4. Best Documentary Film — diploma and symbolic prize
5. Best Experimental Film — diploma and symbolic prize
6. Special mention for screenplay/narrative/dramaturgy — diploma and symbolic prize
7. Special mention for visual language or cinematic innovation — diploma and symbolic prize

“Student Jury:”
