Statement of the 6th Tbilisi International Short Film Festival “Diogenes”

Ladies and gentlemen, today it’s hard to say that you stand outside politics and do not interfere in it.

Simple human interaction, conversation and exchange of new ideas became almost impossible.

Every conversation or exchange of information is half or completely saturated with politics, and people no longer talk to each other, do not communicate, but clearly indicate political positions and fill everything with this ideological content.

We don’t know what’s wrong with that, but we think we need to remember the real relationship, the normal conversation, where spiritual and cultural values were exchanged and shared with joy, and it made evil ashamed, war stopped, and self-centered maniacs unable to take the reins of government.

It silenced bad taste and exalted real art.

Our festival serves exactly that purpose.

He wants to restore human connections and initiate dialogue between cultures using his essence and aspirations.

Resume cultural and spiritual dialogue.

We (Tbilisi International Internet Film Festival “Diogenes”) are confident that we can do it;

The internet allows us to do that, and it’s already happening, and we hope that continues.

The main thing is to overcome politicized stereotypes and soulless cliches, and then begin and deepen this dialogue within the festival and beyond.

This would make evil ashamed, stop the war, make it so that an egocentric maniac could never get out of a psychiatric hospital.
